Butter Rice Cake

《Trimming the Sunlit Ripples》 ~ Springtime Moments
Clear ripples shimmer 'neath blue sky,
A gentle oar sends silver waves askew.
White wings descend in graceful flight,
Enjoying the peace with hearts so light.

Shanghai is the city where I was born and grew up. The modernity and bustle of Lujiazui on the Huangpu River intertwine with the everyday charm of the Shikumen back alleys. Manchester, on the other hand, presents a distinctly different scene, where the heritage of the Industrial Revolution's steam age is set against the energy of modern football and rock 'n' roll.
I've been fortunate enough to live in each of these two cities for over twenty years, and these two strikingly different cultural tapestries have both left a profound mark on my life. This dual imprint across East and West is incredibly precious to me. Both of these cities are my home, the place where my roots lie.
